Mirror

She got up
And looked at it
She saw herself
Emotionless
Looking dead

She lifted her hand
And touched her face
Slowly
Her reflection doing the same
Both hands slowly falling

Both pair of eyes closed
Both girls cried
But only one sobbed
Their eyes opened
And differences were seen

Green and red
Eyes of different colours
Different lights in them
The outside girl wasn't real
She was something impossible to control

The green eyed girl blinked
She lifted her hand
And tried to clean the other girl's tears
But the glass stopped her
Not wanting her to help

The red eyed girl watched amused
As her other self tried to help her
And kneeled on the floor
Knowing she wasn't worth of anything
She deserved nothing

She was better dead
Completely alone
Than having others caring for her
Giving her what she didn't deserve
Making her battle inside

The caring girl had tears running down her cheeks
She wanted so much to help her
To make her see she deserved it
To make her believe she didn't have to feel alone
But the glass was stopping her

She felt angry
She wanted it to brake
To save that girl
And then the girl in the mirror understood...
She couldn't

That glass was unbreakable
The red eyed girl couldn't change alone
She couldn't be helped
Because she was in the wrong world
That was supposed to be her world

The red eyed girl looked at her crying
Smiling sadly
Breathing with difficulty
Blood dripping from her wrists
Hope washed away from her

Then, she spoke slowly
"I am you and you are me
Things like that aren't easy to brake
But it is possible
If I offer my heart for you to take"

The green eyed girl gasped
That meant...
One had to die
For the other to live
And like that become one

She looked at the dusty scissor
That layed on her desk
Slowly she took it
And cut her wrists with it
She looked back at the mirror

"Come" the other one said
"Blood to blood
Heart to heart
Like this might end the light
Or it might become one with the dark."

Then, both of them crashed their wrists on the glass
Gasping at the sudden pain
And they were pulled to each other
Glass never breaking
Tears always remaining

She looked at the glass
And saw no reflection
They had become one
Red to green
Dark to light

She never saw the red line on her green eyes
She never saw the dark look on them
She never realized she had darkness in her
And she never, ever, remembered that day
When she became one with her reflection
When they were betrayed by that mirror
